Arnetta’s Story

Greetings, my name is Arnetta Scruggs, a warrior…  In January of 2023 I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). I went to the hospital thinking I was lightheaded, and they would give me some fluids and I would go home. After numerous blood testing in the ER, the doctor came in the room and said we need to admit you, it’s your kidneys. This same month I was looking for a house after my truck was stolen and vandalized a couple month prior and I was leaving my job that I love to pursue my full-time job as an Executive Director of an organization that I founded, Bloom Project!

In the last 10 months I have been hospitalized three times. I had COVID for the second time and got an infection from being in the hospital. I am presently on PD dialysis and have to get a partial hysterotomy because I was informed, I have fibroids and a blood clot in my left leg.
